Description:
Our client, a leading global company with headquarters in Dublin, currently have a vacancy for a Business Analyst. This is a twelve month contract role.
The role:
The successful candidate will clarify and agree user reporting requirements, recommend system solutions and support delivery of these solutions. They will be an active member of projects in planning and executing new implementations and application upgrades
Additional Responsibilities will include:
• Review, analyse and evaluate new and existing business systems
• Investigate, clarify and agree user requirements for new reporting requests
• New system set-up needs analysis
• Negotiate and agree scope and timescales with users
• Develop, evaluate and recommend solutions to meet user needs
• Work in collaboration with the development team (in-house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specification.
• Manage user acceptance testing, system testing, implementation and post-implementation support of new/changes to solutions.
• Training of super-users within the business areas on the use of the specific business intelligence solution delivered.
• Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international
Experience and Qualification
• Bachelors degree, or local equivalent, in business, technology, information technology or related discipline.
• Prior relevant experience in delivering reporting/business intelligence solutions
• Use of formal, structured methods and data modeling tools in developing business requirements and solutions.
• The ability to work with groups and individuals and providing alternatives to current processes for greater efficiency and performance
• Broad-based knowledge of business intelligence, data visualization, data mining solutions.
• Overall understanding of systems architecture & technology development lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data management concepts would be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry systems and interfaces would be advantageous
• Good negotiation, presentation & communications skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision combined with very good organizational skills.
