Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Responsible for the overall direction and management of projects through designated project managers, ensuring consistency with corporate strategy, consistency of process across projects and internal and external customer satisfaction with the projects.
• Directs and provides day-to-day technical oversight to the Project Management function.
• Provides vision, leadership and mentorship to the department and organization.
• Accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of all regionally assigned programs/projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
Applications are invited from candidates with the follwing background /experience:
• Minimum BA/BS, or equivalent, in the life sciences, nursing, or local equivalent.
• Higher degree such as MS, MBA, or equivalent, preferred.
• PMP preferred.
• Prior relevant field monitoring or relevant clinical experience.
• In depth proven experience in the administration of Clinical Trials in a CRO environment or equivalent and/or in depth proven experience in project management training and comprehensive understanding of project management principles and applications.
• Prior relevant management or leadership experience
• Thorough knowledge of ICH GCP and relevant regulations for the conduct of clinical trials.
• Ability to co-ordinate all aspects of study and project management.
• Have the potential to successfully manage project team(s). Strong customer service and presentation skills required.
• Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee's location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license.
• Attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and advanced computer and computer application skills (Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tool).
• Demonstrated aptitude for managing global, multi-faceted, complex projects or programs.
• Proven track record in the following:
o knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
o establishing effective Teams
o knowledge of project management techniques and tools
o direct work experience in project management capacity
o people management
o tactful communication of difficult/sensitive information
o strategic planning
o risk management
