On behalf of our client we are recruting for a Manufacturing Engineer. This is a full time permanent role.
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the role of Manufacturing Engineer will involve production optimisation and problem resolution aimed at maximising efficiencies and output of the packaging department.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Performance Optimisation of existing and new equipment
Focus on Area of Change over Optimisation
Co-ordination of improvement projects in line with Company Performance initiatives.
Optimisation of all Safety Aspects within the Packaging area
Work with Artwork depots to ensure and optimise correct component selection for equipment
Provision of training for packaging personnel when required.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a third level degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related speciality, and will have worked in a packaging environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical or a related industry.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in processes optimisation, cost reduction, efficiency building and quality enhancement is required for this role.
An ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills and exposure to Lean/Six Sigma methodologies would be highly desirable.
