Role:
On behalf of our client, a global insurance company with offices worldwide we are looking to recruit a Medical Services Advisor to work in the Dublin Office. Candidates must have fluency both written and verbal in English and Portugese.
The position involves pre-authorization of in – patient procedures balancing aggressive cost containment with optimal customer service. The applicant must be able to maintain effective and collaborative relationships with hospitals/physicians whilst being conscious of relationships with brokers, clients and policy holders.
Medical Services Advisor Responsibilities
Preauthorization of in-patient treatment.
Aggressive cost containment through tight adjudication, correct evaluation of medical appropriateness and successful negotiation.
Case management of complex cases.
Maintain relationships with brokers/clients/providers.
Medical claims reviews
Requirements
Candidates for this role will hold a minimum of 3 years professional clinical experience in a multi-practice operation or hospital.
Exposure to administrative functions.
Strong written and verbal communication is essential for communication with medical providers around the world
Sound medical knowledge suitable
Proactive and have the ability to work under pressure
Organised, efficient, and results oriented
Flexibility in approach
In line with their plans to provide 24 /7 service to their insured members this role will involve working night and weekends on a rotational basis.
