Our client is looking to recruit a Project Director/Senior Project Manager to be based in Paris, France
Role Responsibility
Recognizing and adhering to company values which centre around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance; you will co-ordinate and manage the activities of one or more large multinational study and project teams to meet all timeframes and targets while keeping costs under control.
Additional Responsibilities:
Your role will be to ensure all necessary training is provided to assigned staff to improve their job performance and knowledge. You will also implement individual development plans and document training as appropriate. Effectively managing staff through open and timely sharing of information, regular performance reviews and feedback, you will set clear goals and objectives, and ensure that individual and team achievements are appropriately recognized.
Acting as the key client contact for designated projects, you will develop successful working relationships with clients to secure repeat business. You will provide expert clinical input into new business proposals and Bid Defence meetings, acting as a therapeutic expert, where applicable.
In liaison with other department managers as appropriate, you will manage one or more projects in a timely manner in adherence with company SOPs and ICH GCP. Developing and maintaining detailed project plans for assigned projects; you will manage projects in accordance with the contract. Keeping a tight reign on study budgets, you will ensure financial targets are met and working in collaboration with Finance ensure accurate revenue recognition. Keeping senior management informed of project status in relation to quality, timelines and client satisfaction, you will actively identify opportunities for process improvement and promote the sharing of best practice. You should be able and willing to travel at least 25% of the time (international and domestic; fly and drive).
Experience and Qualification
You must possess a University/Bachelors Degree in medicine, science or equivalent degree/experience. You will also have experience in drug development programs, leadership, client management activities, and strong domestic and international project management experience.
With a background in medicine, science or other relevant discipline, you will have a proven track record in managing multinational studies and project teams, with broad therapeutic area experience. You should also have a thorough knowledge of ICH GCP and relevant regulations for the conduct of clinical trials along with in depth understanding of project management processes and drug development.
You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills with experience of managing large, remote teams. Fluent in written and spoken English, you will be a consummate communicator with a good understanding of working in a multicultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
